Install Active Directory Management Service for Easy PowerShell Access
>> http://blogs.technet.com/b/heyscriptingguy/archive/2011/08/30/install-active-directory-management-service-for-easy-powershell-access.aspx

Windows 7 clients cannot locate the Active Directory Management Gateway Service installed on Windows Server 2008-based domain controllers
(THIS IS when the AD-Module is missing!!!)

The term ‘Get-ADUser’ is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet

If the ActiveDirectory module is present add

import-module activedirectory
before your code.

To check if exist try:

get-module -listavailable
ActiveDirectory module is default present in windows server 2008 R2.
